The Charter Oak Education Foundation (COEF) is a private foundation dedicated to providing supplemental educational opportunities to the eight schools within the Charter Oak Unified School District (COUSD):

- Willow Elementary
- Royal Oak Middle School
- Charter Oak High School
- Sunflower Alternative Schools
We raise funds on behalf of COUSD while working closely with the Board of Education, administrators and educators so that we can best direct resources toward the areas that will enhance the educational experience for the Charter Oak students.
We partner with local business leaders and members of the community who are committed to building a strong future for the Charter Oak community by investing in the education, innovation and creativity of the students we are raising.
Our largest fundraising opportunities are realized through our Annual Hall of Fame Dinner and Silent Auction in the spring and our Oak Tree Challenge 5K/1Mile Run/Walk in the fall.
The Hall of Fame Dinner provides a lovely evening of dining and fun as we enjoy the company of colleagues and parents who make up our Charter Oak family. We celebrate the achievements and contributions of those within the Charter Oak community who have made significant contributions of time and service for the sakes of our COUSD students.
In September we host The Oak Tree Challenge 5K/1Mile Run/Walk. This is a family event that promotes healthy living, personal achievement and school spirit as our students, parents, faculty, staff and administrators come together as one to show our Charter Oak pride.
Since our founding in 2009 we have raised over $400,000.00 making it possible for us to supplement and/or provide:
